Ever have one of those weeks where things just keep going wrong, no matter how hard you try?
It was my birthday on Tuesday and I'm struggling to wrap my head around the fact that I'm on the backside of my 40's. My work situation has deteriorated of late, to the point where it is affecting my physical as well as my mental well-being. I'm about to make one of those leaps of faith I spoke about and I have a lot of doubts and fears surrounding that. And just to top it off with a big cherry, my trainer called this morning to tell me that Missy came up lame this morning, after being really good all week and working well with both trainers. I just knew that she wouldn't be able to handle all this extra work. *sigh* Maybe tomorrow I can ride one of their lesson horses, I missed my own lesson on Wednesday.
Recently I attended the Western States Horse Expo in Sacramento, my first big expo. I'll leave you with some shots I took that day (click to enlarge).

Those are great pictures; the expo looks like it was very interesting. Sorry that you are having a rough time. I can relate too well. I hope things pick up soon and Happy Belated Birthday!
Thanks for your comment on my blog about my fall. The aches and pains are all gone now. Took awhile (not just on the backside of 40 now...but on the backside of 50 and the ground gets harder with every passing decade).
I hope Missy's lameness is very temporary.
I'm sorry to hear you've been going through a rough patch. Some of the best things I've experienced in life have resulted after I took a big scary risk. Leap.
...and then you'll be soon writing about one of those weeks where everything goes right, because everything eventually balances itself out. : )

Belated Happy Brthday, but sorry to hear about your stretch of bad luck...
Believe me, I can relate!
Hang in there.
